The cultural layer of the site extends from the Liangzhu Culture period to the Spring and Autumn Period, which can be divided into seven periods of remains.Among them, the remains of the third phase are found for the first time in the region. From the perspective of shape and decoration style, they are characterized by both Guangfulin culture and Maqiao culture, with obvious transitional nature. The fifth phase remains of Tiotou Site are the best preserved site remains and the clearest settlement structure. A number of well-preserved stone patterns have been unearthed, and the shapes of stone patterns can be identified as arrofts, axes, etc. There are one fan and one vessel, or one fan and multiple vessels, mainly for the production of small tools and weapons.Tiotou site provides important materials for further research on metallurgical process of Shang Dynasty, including raw material transportation, spatial layout of production activities, organization and management of copper casting activities, etc.The cultural connotation of the fifth phase of Tiotou Site is rich and typical, which is close to “Houmaqiao culture” in terms of overall cultural appearance. The typical artifacts include slender bell shaped clay clay beans and elliptical clay clay clay three-legged plates.Combined with the continuous archaeological work of other sites in Dongtiaoxi Valley in recent years, such as Xiaogucheng and Peishan settlements, it provides a very important new clue for clarifying the cultural connotation of the region after maqiao culture and the naming of archaeological culture. In the process of site excavation, the Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology also carried out effective cooperation with Fudan University, East China Normal University and other universities and scientific research institutions, and carried out a series of scientific research work on plant archaeology, isotope analysis, sediment analysis, paleoclimate change and man-earth relationship, and environmental DNA analysis.Tiotou Site – Bronze axe Tiotou Site of late Shang Dynasty has a long accumulation time and is well preserved. Through in-depth archaeological excavation and research as well as systematic dating, tiotou site is expected to establish a regional scale chronological sequence. It played an important role in the construction of the cultural sequence and genealogy of the prehistoric and Shang and Zhou dynasties in this region. At the same time, considering that Tiotou site is the first clear site of copper casting workshop in the late Shang Dynasty in the lower Reaches of the Yangtze River, it is of great significance to explore the interaction between the Central Plains of the Shang Dynasty and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the evolution mode of the Bronze Age civilization in this region.Selection rules The scope of judges 91 national archaeological excavation qualification units have group voting rights. The 136 members of the seventh council of the Archaeological Society of China have voting rights.Voting rules Group vote shall be regarded as the collective opinion of the business personnel of the unit, with one vote for each unit, and the ballot shall be stamped with the official seal of the qualified unit; The trustee ballot must be signed by the voter. Each ballot paper has no more than 20 options, otherwise it will be regarded as invalid.Deadline The deadline for collecting ballots is February 21 (if sent to the selection office).Overdue will be deemed as waiver. The ballot should be sent to the National Top ten New archaeological discoveries selection office of China Cultural Relics Newspaper.Address: China Cultural Relics Newspaper, Building no. 2, Beixiao Street, Dongzhimen Nei, Dongcheng District, Beijing, China postcode: 100007 Email: Contact: Li Zheng, Guo Xiaorong, Zhang Xiaozhu Tel: (010) 84078838 ext. 6180, 6182
